From the Airport:
From the airport take the N3/N2 North. After 8.5 km you reach a highway multi-level interchange called Spaghetti Junction. Do not turn off here. Keep on straight along the N2 North/Stanger. (See notes - From Spaghetti Junction)
From Spaghetti Junction:
From Richards Bay/Northern KZN (N2 North):
Come in along the cement dual carriageway on the N2 and you will eventually find the Inanda Rd/Umgeni Rd turnoff. At the top of the glide-off you need to go straight across the traffic light intersection. You will now find yourself traveling parallel to the N2 highway. At the bottom of the incline is a set of traffic lights where you turn left. This is the Umgeni River turn-off (See notes - From Umgeni River turnoff)
From Umgeni River turnoff:
Keep to the middle lane! At the next multi-level interchange (Connaught Bridge), you must go straight and underneath the interchange. Follow this road until you get to an intersection (Goble Road) and turn left (the first opportunity you can do this). The following traffic lights is at a T-junction. This is NMR Avenue. Turn right here, and just before the next intersection there is a left turnoff into Walter Gilbert Road for Durban Country Club.
From the KZN North Coast resorts (Umhlanga/Ballito etc):
You will be traveling along the North Coast freeway. As you pass over the Umgeni River, keep left and take the turnoff immediately after the bridge. At the yield, turn right and proceed underneath the highway. On your left is the Country Club Course 6th hole. Follow the road to the next intersection and turn left. This is NMR Avenue. Follow the road through the next set of traffic lights, and just before the following traffic lights there is a left turnoff for Durban Country Club.
From Northern Suburbs:
Find and proceed down Northway - this is the main road that links the Northern suburbs with the city. Pass over the Umgeni River and keep in the left lane. As you pass through the traffic lights, this becomes NMR Avenue, and on your left you can see the Country Club Course trees. Follow the road through the next set of traffic lights and just before the following traffic lights there is a left turnoff for Durban Country Club.
From City Centre:
There are many roads to use, but for the visitor, the easiest will be to find West Street (one-way traveling towards the sea/beachfront). Find the Aliwal Street intersection, and turn left (North). Continue with this road until you pass the Kingsmead Cricket Grounds. This road now becomes known as NMR Avenue. Follow this road until you see the swimming pool complex on your right. At the very next traffic lights you must turn right into Walter Gilbert and then keep in the left lane. Follow this winding little road around and you will arrive at the Durban Country Club main gates.
